There are multitudes of people who would purpose to sell you a blog. That is not us.
Further still, there are those who desire to sell you some package that will promise you the sun, the moon, the stars, and magically, overnight, turn your life from rags to riches. This is not us either!
Here's the deal: I am a successful, 20 year veteran of a financial services firm, that we started from scratch, and later sold. The primary reason for our success was this: We built long term relationships with our clients, earned their trust, and they, in turn, referred their friends, co-workers, and family members to us.
Our primary communication tools to make all this happen were: word of mouth, the telephone, snail-mail, a website, and e-mail.
Once we earned our clients trust, we then taught them to refer their friends/family to us with a great deal of outbound marketing materials. Each month I would write my clients two informational pieces which were designed to keep them abreast of current financial happenings, always with a gentle plea for them to hand this information off to their friends/family.
This worked remarkably well, provided a significant return on my investment, and over time created a client base of over 1,200 people.
In May of 2005, I was on an airplane, returning home from a business meeting in the west, when I read a feature article on something called a blog, in Business Week magazine, where they proclaimed that these blogs would revolutionize my business.
I became an early adapter, and quickly had the number two blog in my genre, on Google. I also found myself being interviewed by NPR, mentioned in Business Week, and U.S. News and World Reports, as well as many more local news outlets. I subscribed all my clients, and was working towards developing my online media channel when we decided to take advantage of an opportunity to sell our financial services business.
Now, fast forward three years and you will find my wife and I relocated in Scottsdale, Arizona and happily launching this new blog consulting business.
If you look around you, you will notice that newspaper, magazines, and many "traditional" forms of media are disintegrating right before our eyes. Why? Glad you asked! You are reading it right now!
Why would you get your information from a 20 year old reporter, at a local newspaper, when through new media technologies you can get the information right from the horses mouth. The time will come when anyone, and everyone, who has a message to proclaim, will be doing it from their own media channel: currently called a blog!
I am a proven business expert at building community with a database of people. I have now gathered significant experience in using new media tools (blogs and social media sites), to help your business, organization, non-profit, church, or any entity that needs to communicate with a group of people, to find success in this exciting world called "new media".
Looking towards the future, every organization will have its own media site. Think of having your own television station, your own radio station, your own magazine, your own newspaper. You have all of those things available to you, with an incredibly low investment barrier, with this thing called a blog.
The bottom line is this: your business/organization must, I repeat, must get on this bandwagon.
So...here is our elevator pitch!
Blog Consulting, LLC. is here to help businesses, organizations, and individuals harness the powers of the new media, to build stronger community with their patrons, significantly lower their costs to provide this communication, and appreciably raise the value proposition for both sides of the equation.
In short, you provide your clients video podcasts, audio podcasts, and rich text media replete with wonderful graphic images. They in turn love you, and using a simple mouse click, they subscribe to your media channel (Inbound Marketing), and forward your information to their friends/family/coworkers.
It's a beautiful thing!
Drop me an e-mail, right now, to discuss how our company might help you with these new technologies!
