It is 8:23, and we are back in our room after 13 hours of spent in the Las Vegas Convention Center at Blog World New Media Expo 09.
I am suffering from a bit of mind melt. Here are the sessions that we participated in today:
- 8:30 - a Keynote address by Laura Fitton.
- 9:45 - a Business to Business panel by Mica Viehman, Kyle Flaherty, and David B. Thomas.
- 11:00 - Social Media for Non-Profits by Judy Chang, James Sutandyo, Justin Perkins, David Levy, and Scott Henderson.
- 12:15 - Lunch w/ Ford blogger Scott Monty.
- 1:30 - Internet Marketing for Smart People with Sonia Simone, Brian Clark, Darren Rouse, and Chris Brogan.
- 2:45 - Keynote Address with Jeremiah Owyang.
- 4:00 - Facebook and Twitter with Mari Smith.
- 5:15 - Closing Keynote Address with Chris Brogan.
The #1 AHA from the day: don't build an audience, build a community. Passionate community members will "die" for their communities.
The gentlemen pictured above have VERY large communities that interact with each other and are not merely reacting to particular blog posts by the leader.
