U.S. Representative Harry Mitchell is my congressman in Washington. I received an e-mail from him today, inviting me to a different type of relationship.
Representative Mitchell has built himself a new media site, built around a subscription model. "How is this different", you ask? Harry is going to do the same thing as President Barack Obama. He is going to build his own media site, build subscribers, and become far, far less dependent on the main stream media to get his message out.
If you look at the site, Representative Harry Mitchell is currently offering two type of subscriptions to his media site:
Great job Harry! Now all you need is a Facebook page, and a Twitter account. If you have them, then I, as one of your constituents, don't know it. I was looking for evidence of these social media outposts, on your front page, but didn't see them.
